Permissions
Permissions are the core system for controlling access, authority, and visibility across your organization. Every action—whether it’s viewing sensitive documents, proposing a transaction, or approving a payment—is governed by explicit, onchain permissions tied to your public address. If you control the wallet, you control the role.

Features and What to Know
- Role-Based Authority: Permissions define who can see, propose, or authorize across your organization. It’s the foundation of operational security and accountability.
- Auto-Generated Per App: Every app you install comes with a set of default permissions (view, edit, approve, etc). These appear automatically in your Permissions interface and can be customized.
- Fully Adjustable: Permissions can be re-assigned by those with the proper authority—often Admins or Signers—depending on the organizational structure.
- Visibility Control: Permissions also determine who can see a particular application in the NavBar, not just who can use it. This makes it easy to keep sensitive workflows private.
- Onchain & Immutable: All permission assignments are stored onchain. They’re not just UI preferences—they’re cryptographically enforced. Only those who meet the approval threshold can change them.
- Integrated with Groups: Permissions layer on top of Groups (e.g. Signers, Admins), giving you fine-grained control beyond broad role-based access.
