3rd Party Accounts

3rd Party Accounts lists every wallet and bank account that belongs to someone outside your organization: the accounts you pay your contacts through. It shows, for each one, whether it’s ready to be paid.

It’s in the sidebar as 3rd Party Accounts.

Before money leaves, you want two answers: is this the right account, and will the payment go through? This page puts both in one place.

  • Wallets show whether they’ve passed a test transfer, which proves the owner controls the address. See Wallet Verification.
  • Bank accounts show whether their details are complete and approved to receive payouts.
  1. Every account belongs to a contact. You add it yourself, or the contact adds it through onboarding. See Contacts.
  2. Wallets get tested. When you add a wallet, you’re offered a test transfer straight away.
  3. Bank accounts get approved. Their details are submitted for review before they can be paid.
  4. You pay from the account’s panel. The Send funds tab starts a payment to it.

For the click-by-click version, see Add a vendor or contact.

Search by account name, address, owner or network, and filter by Type, Status or Network. Click an owner’s name to open their contact. The first account opens in the panel on the right; click any other row to switch.

The Status column tells you whether an account is ready:

You see What it means What to do
Tested The wallet passed a test transfer Pay it, on the networks and assets listed for it
Untested The wallet hasn’t been tested Open the ⋮ menu and click Test wallet
Incomplete The bank account is missing details, or hasn’t been submitted Click Complete details. The panel lists what’s missing
Pending The bank account is Under review, usually 1-2 business days. Wait
Approved Approved, ready to receive payouts. Pay it
Failed The recipient’s bank rejected these details — often the account holder name not matching the bank’s records. Click Update & resubmit in the panel, or Update details in the ⋮ menu, and correct them

Network(s) and Assets show what a wallet can receive. All EVM and All Assets mean it accepts everything. For a bank account they show the payment rail and currency.

Overview shows the owner and the account itself. For a wallet: the address, networks, assets, OFAC Screen result (Pass, Flagged or Not screened) and test status. For a bank account: the institution, account holder, masked account number, routing number or SWIFT/BIC, currency, country and Recipient status.

Send funds lets you choose where to pay from and how much, then Review transfer. A bank account must be Approved first; until then the button reads Awaiting approval or offers the fix. An untested wallet isn’t blocked, but you see This address is untested. Consider a test transfer first. A payment from a Safe opens in Bill Pay with the details filled in, so it can collect its signatures.

Click Actions → Add New 3rd Party Account. Pick the contact under 3rd party (or + New contact…), name the account, and choose Onchain account or Bank account. For a wallet, you’re then asked Send a test transfer?

  • Leave networks and assets empty to accept everything. They save as All EVM and All Assets.
  • A bank account needs only an account number to save. It stays Incomplete until the rest is filled in and approved, and can’t be paid until then.
  • Bank details are typed in. Upload instructions isn’t available on this form yet.
  • Tested covers what the owner confirmed. Paying on another network or in another asset may need a new test. See Wallet Verification.
  • Account numbers are masked. Revealing one needs the View sensitive contact details permission.
