App Library
The App Library is where you choose which apps your organization uses. Adding an app puts its pages in everyone’s sidebar. Removing it takes them away.
You’ll find it in the sidebar under System Controls → App Library.
What you can add
Section titled “What you can add”Approve Payments is the app behind paying people from Mezzanine. Adding it puts Bill Pay, Recurring Payments and Internal Transfers in the sidebar, under Send Money and Manage Assets. Without it, those pages don’t appear for anyone in your organization. See Bill Pay and Internal Transfers.
Everything else you use day to day, such as Contacts, Our Team, Groups, Permissions and Organization Settings, is built in. Every organization has it, and it isn’t listed here.
Using the page
Section titled “Using the page”Each app is a card with its name, who makes it, a short description and a category tag.
The page opens showing live apps only. Use Status to switch between Live and Coming Soon, Category to narrow by type, or the search box to find an app by name, maker or description.
The button on each card tells you where the app stands:
| You see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Add App | Live, and not in your organization yet | Click it, then Add app to confirm. Its pages appear in the sidebar |
| Remove | Already added | Click it, then Remove app, to take it out of the sidebar |
| Join Waitlist | Coming soon, not available yet | Click it, then Join waitlist. You’ll be notified when it becomes available |
| Joined Waitlist | Your organization is already on the waitlist | Nothing to do. The button stays disabled |
More Info opens a Mezzanine help article in a new tab.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Adding or removing an app changes the sidebar for everyone in your organization, not only for you.
- Removing an app also clears its permissions. Any changes you made to who can use it are lost. If you add it back, it starts again from the default permissions. Check Permissions after re-adding.
- Coming-soon apps can’t be used yet. Joining the waitlist doesn’t add the app to your sidebar.
Who can use it
Section titled “Who can use it”| To… | You need the permission |
|---|---|
| See this page | View app library |
| Add or remove apps, or join a waitlist | Install and configure apps |
If you can’t open the page, it says You can’t view the app library
and lets you request access. If you can see the page but not add apps, clicking a card’s button shows You are not authorized to install applications
and explains which permission you need.
