Payment Instructions
Payment Instructions gives you the details to hand someone who’s paying you: bank numbers for a dollar transfer, or a deposit address for stablecoins. Pick the account you want the money to land in, and copy exactly what the payer needs.
You’ll find it in the sidebar under Receive Money → Payment Instructions. Clicking Receive Money opens it too. The page is described as How each of your accounts takes money in, and the details to give a payer.
Why use it
Section titled “Why use it”- Payers get the right details the first time. Each way of paying lists exactly the numbers or address that way needs, ready to copy.
- One sheet for anyone. If you don’t know how someone wants to pay, the Universal Account’s Universal Transfer Instructions covers every bank rail and every deposit address at once.
- Fewer lost payments. Each address says which assets and networks it takes, so a payer doesn’t send the wrong asset or use the wrong chain.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”- Choose the receiving account. It starts on your Universal Account if you have one.
- Choose how they’ll pay: a bank transfer, a chain, or the whole sheet.
- Copy the details and send them to the payer.
- The money arrives in that account, or in your Universal Account, as the page says.
For the click-by-click version, see Give someone your payment details.
When to use it
Section titled “When to use it”- A customer or investor asks where to send money.
- You’re issuing an invoice and need to put your payment details on it.
- Someone wants to pay in stablecoins and needs an address on a particular chain.
Using the page
Section titled “Using the page”Receiving account. Choose the account money should land in. Your organization’s business entities’ accounts are listed, grouped by entity. The page’s address changes to match, so you can share a link to this account’s instructions.
Ways to pay. Below the account, each way it takes money in is a row. Click one to see its details, and click its name at the top to go back.
For your Universal Account:
| Row | What it gives the payer |
|---|---|
| Universal Transfer Instructions | Every bank rail and every deposit address, on one sheet |
| Domestic (ACH / RTP / domestic wire) | Bank details for US dollars from a US bank — seconds to two business days |
| International (SWIFT) | Bank details for US dollars from outside the US — one to four business days |
| One row per chain, such as Ethereum or Base | A deposit address for each stablecoin that chain takes, with any minimum deposit |
The bank details include a Reference, required on every transfer. Ask the payer to include it.
For a bank account: its own account and routing numbers, and SWIFT details if the bank has them. The account number is hidden; click the eye to show it.
For a Safe, wallet or exchange account: its own address, and the networks it takes money on.
Copying. Each value has a copy button. Copy all details copies a whole set, and Copy the whole sheet copies everything on Universal Transfer Instructions.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Send each asset only to the address listed under it, on that chain.
These addresses take only the assets listed, and only on … Anything else sent to them, or a listed asset on another chain, is not recoverable.
- A wallet’s address on another chain isn’t the same account.
Only send on a listed network. The same address on another chain is not this account, and anything sent there may be lost.
- Include the reference on bank transfers. A deposit that arrives without it
is held until it is attributed, which adds a day.
- The payer’s account should be in your entity’s name, and transfers are
Up to $20M a transfer, US dollars only.
- Some details land in your Universal Account, not the account you chose. The page says so, for example:
Money sent these ways lands in your Universal Account, not in …
- The Universal Account needs Advanced Onboarding first. Until an entity finishes it, its rows are greyed out with Set up, and the page reads “… It opens when entity completes Advanced Onboarding.” Click Start Advanced Onboarding. While it’s being reviewed:
Advanced Onboarding is in review. Universal Account turns on when it is approved.
- A connected bank may not share its numbers. If so, reconnect it from the account’s Settings, and its numbers appear here.
- Payment Requests, under Receive Money, isn’t available yet.
- No accounts yet? The page reads
No account yet
:Connect or open an account first; its instructions appear here.
and offers ways to add one.
