Set up your organization

Goal

Create your organization in Mezzanine and leave setup with your team invited, your legal entities added and your accounts connected.

How it works

Setup is six short screens: Welcome, Tools, People, Organization, Accounts and Finish. The list on the left shows where you are. Your progress is saved as you go, and you can go Back to change an earlier screen.

Time

about 5 minutes, plus the time it takes to connect each account.

Before you start

• You can sign in to Mezzanine.
• You have the email addresses of the teammates you want to invite, and know which group each should be in.
• You know the legal name, type and country of incorporation of each entity. If you’re not sure of a type or country, you can choose Unsure and fix it later.
• To connect accounts now, have them to hand: a Safe’s address, your exchange’s API details, or your bank sign-in. You can skip any account and add it later.

Steps

1. Sign in. If Mezzanine asks Welcome! What should we call you?, enter your Name and click Continue.
   You see Welcome to Mezzanine.
   Already in another organization? Click your organization’s name at the top of the sidebar, then Create workspace.
2. Under Team Name, enter your organization’s name and click Get Started.
   You see Which apps would you like to install?
3. Asset Management and Safe Accounts are included for every organization. If you’ll pay vendors or move money from Mezzanine, tick Approve Payments. Click Continue.
   You see People, with your email already filled in and marked (you), as Owner.
4. Enter your full Name.
5. To invite a teammate, click Add person, enter their email and choose a role: Owner, Admin, Finance, Operations or Legal. Repeat for each person.
6. Click Continue.
   Each row shows a green tick, then you see Organization & Entities.
7. Check the Team Name. Under Legal Entities, enter the Entity name, choose the Entity Type and the Incorporation country. Click Add Another Entity for each extra entity.
8. Click Continue.
   You see How does your team hold assets?
9. Tick every kind of account your organization uses, such as Safe Multisig, Coinbase Prime, Bybit or Mercury. Click Continue.
   You see Set up your team’s accounts, with a row for each type you ticked.
10. On each row, enter an Account nickname, choose the entity it belongs to under Select entity, and click Setup.
    A window opens, e.g. Add Safe Multisig or Connect Bank Account. For a bank, your bank’s secure sign-in opens instead. When you finish, the row shows Connected.
11. For any account you’ll connect later, click Setup Later. To add a second account of the same kind, click Add another under that type, e.g. Add another Safe Multisig.
12. Click Continue.
    You see You’re all set., with your team name, entity count, connected accounts, and the invitations and apps still to go out.
13. Click Go to Console.
    Mezzanine opens Legal & Compliance → Entities, showing the entities you added. Your invitations are sent and the apps you picked are added now.

You’re done. Your teammates get an email invitation to join.

Types marked Coming Soon! Other Wallets, Anchorage, BitGo, Fireblocks and Other can’t be connected during setup yet. They appear on the accounts screen with Coming Soon! and no Setup button.

After setup

• Connect any account you skipped: see Connect a bank account and Add a Safe multisig.
• Invite more people from System Controls → Our Team: see Invite teammates and choose what they can do.
• Add more entities from Legal & Compliance → Entities: see Entities.
• Add or remove apps later in App Library.

If something goes wrong

You see	Why	What to do
