Check an account's balance and activity
Goal
See how much one account holds, what it holds, and what has moved in or out of it.
How it works
Every account’s dollar balance is in the All Accounts table. Clicking an account opens its details, including each holding. Transaction history there covers money that moved between the account and your organization’s Universal Account.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- You have the View entities permission. (Who can use it)
- In the sidebar, click All Accounts. You see your accounts, largest balance first, with the Org total at the top.
- To find the account, type its name, address or owning entity in Search every account by name, address, or entity. Or narrow the list with the Type or Entity filter. The table shows only matching accounts.
- Read the Balance column. It shows the account’s value in US dollars, with its three largest holdings underneath.
- Click the account’s row.The panel on the right opens on Overview, with the balance as Total assets.
- For a bank account, check Available and Last sync on the same tab. Available is the balance minus any holds your bank has placed. Last sync is when Mezzanine last updated the account from your bank. Either may be missing if your bank doesn’t report it.
- Click See detailed asset view. You see every asset in the account, with the amount and its dollar value, and a Total at the bottom.
- To see the account in the context of your whole treasury, click Open the full asset view. The Balance Sheet opens, filtered to this account. For a bank account, the Cash page opens instead.
- For activity, go back to Overview and click See transaction history. You see Transaction history, newest first. Click a transaction to see its details, and the back arrow to return. Click Load more for older ones.
Want to see what the account will hold after pending payments? On the asset view from step 6, switch from Live to Projected. It shows each asset after the payments already committed against the account have gone out. You need the View outgoing transfers permission for this.
No See transaction history link? It only appears for accounts that have history to show. Wallets, exchange accounts and custom accounts have it only once the owning entity has a Universal Account.
