Goals/Seeing your money
Task

Get a live board report of all your assets

Goal
Walk into a board or finance committee meeting with an up-to-date picture of everything your organization holds: a PDF to circulate, and the live page to answer questions from.
How it works
The Board Report builds a PDF from your current balances when you click it. The Balance Sheet page itself is live, so you can present from it directly or download the same figures as a CSV.
Time
about 5 minutes.
  • You have the View entities permission. To download the PDF you also need Manage evergreen artifacts. (Who can use it)
  • All the accounts you want to report on are connected. Check All Accounts if you’re not sure.
  1. In the sidebar, click Balance Sheet.
You see Total assets, 24h change, Stablecoin share and Idle cash at the top, and one row per asset below.
  2. Look at the account button in the filter row. It should read All accounts.
If it reads something like 5 of 7 accounts, some accounts are being left out. Click it to see which, and tick any you want included.
  3. Scan the asset list for anything that shouldn’t be there, like an airdropped token with a large dollar value.
If you find one, open Actions → Asset Settings, click Hide beside it, then Back to Assets.
  4. Check the Price column. A blank price means Mezzanine has no market price for that token, and it adds nothing to your total.
  5. If the board will ask what’s already spoken for, click Projected at the right of the filter row.
The cards change to Total assets, − Committed outflows and = Projected assets. Click Live to go back.
  1. Click Actions at the top right.
  2. Click Board Report.
A window opens titled Treasury Overview Report, listing what the PDF contains: Executive Summary, Holdings by Account, Breakdown by Entity and Detailed Holdings.
  3. Click Download Report.
The button reads Generating Report… for a short while, then the PDF downloads, named after your organization and today’s date.
  4. Close the window.

A copy is also kept in Evergreen Artifacts under All Assets.

The PDF covers every account. It includes all accounts under your organization’s own entities, even ones you’ve left off the sheet in step 2, and it leaves out only tokens flagged as likely spam, whatever your Asset Settings say. If you need a report for some entities or accounts only, use All Assets in Evergreen Artifacts, where you can choose Entities and Accounts.

Want a spreadsheet instead? Click Actions → Download CSV. It lists every holding by account and follows the accounts and assets on your sheet. Balances and prices in it are rounded to two decimal places.

Part C: Present from the live page (optional)

Section titled “Part C: Present from the live page (optional)”
  • Balance Sheet for totals and holdings. Click an asset to show which accounts hold it.
  • Dashboard for charts: Holdings by Token, Holdings by Entity, Holdings by Account Type and Top 10 Accounts by Value. Each can be switched between Pie Chart, Bar Chart and Table.
  • Cash for fiat and stablecoins only.

What the headline numbers mean:

You see What it means
Total assets Everything on the sheet, in US dollars
24h change How much that total moved in the last 24 hours
Stablecoin share The percentage of the total held in stablecoins
Idle cash Stablecoins and bank balances. It counts a little more broadly than the Cash view, so the two can differ

The page doesn’t show an as of time. Balances refresh in the background and can take a few minutes to catch up with a recent transfer.

You see Why What to do

A token shows a balance but no price There’s no market price for it It’s left out of the dollar totals. Mention it separately if it matters
