Organization Settings

The settings that apply to your whole organization live on one page: its name, warnings for payments to unverified wallets, Slack alerts, which assets show in your balances, how company files are filed, and deleting the organization.

You’ll find it in the sidebar under System Controls → Organization Settings.

The bar across the top jumps to each section: General Settings, Asset Settings, Corporate Files and Delete Organization.

Under each section title, Managed by shows which groups can change it. Everyone means every member can.

  • Organization name. Edit the name and click Save. You see Organization name updated. The name can’t be empty.

  • Wallet Verification Mode. Require counterparty wallets to pass verification before funds can be sent to them. It’s on unless someone has turned it off. While it’s on, anyone approving, signing or executing a payment to an unverified wallet sees a warning and must tick a box to go ahead, and each time is logged. Payments aren’t blocked. Flip the switch, then confirm with Turn on or Turn off. Turning it off doesn’t change any wallet’s existing verification status. See Wallet Verification.

  • Slack notifications. Send approvals, alerts and account activity to a Slack channel. Click Connect Slack and approve Mezzanine in Slack. You come back to this page and see Slack workspace connected. Then pick a channel from the list. Once connected you can:

    • turn notifications on or off with the switch, without disconnecting;
    • click Test to post a test message to the channel;
    • click Disconnect to stop posting. Mezzanine forgets the channel you picked. Messages already in Slack stay there.

    To post to a private channel, type /invite @Mezzanine-prod in that channel, then reload this page.

Which tokens and assets show up in your balances. Airdropped and unrecognised tokens are hidden by default. Click Open to go to the Asset Settings page, which lists Visible Assets and Hidden Assets. Click Hide or Show on a token to move it between the two.

Use it when a spam token inflates a balance, or when a real token you hold isn’t showing.

Document Upload Settings sets which fields the upload form asks for: entity, document date, linked parties, linked transactions and permissions. Click Open to change them. See Company Files.

Delete organization shuts the organization down for everyone.

  1. Click Delete organization.
  2. Type the organization’s name exactly as shown, to confirm.
  3. Click Delete organization again.

Every member loses access immediately and pending invitations are revoked. You’re taken to your next organization, or into creating a new one if you have none, and see a confirmation.

  • Deleted data is kept for 30 days. During that time Mezzanine support can restore the organization. Email support@mezzanine.xyz. After 30 days it’s permanently deleted.
  • Only Owners can delete an organization. No permission grant changes that.
  • Changes here apply to everyone in the organization, not only to you.
  • Slack disconnect is reversible. You can connect again at any time, but you’ll need to pick the channel again.

Every member can open this page and see the current settings. Changing them needs:
